Логіко-математичний інтелект допомагає вважати, вирішувати складні математичні та логічні завдання. Діти з цим типом інтелекту не схильні до спілкування, зазвичай вони замкнуті. Їм цікавіші цифри, експерименти і логічні задачі. Зазвичай вони володіють такими характеристиками як чітке поняття кількості, часу, причини та наслідку; використання абстрактних символів; уміння логічно вирішувати проблеми; створення моделей та схем. Такий інтелект розвивається в завданнях типу зроби передбачення щодо розвитку подій, мозковий штурм, розміщення в правильному порядку, створення асоціативного ряду, порівняння, аналогії, діаграми Венна, моделювання тощо.

1.     Finding the differences

Find the differences between the two pictures. Write the sentences using the phrases lots of/plenty of, a few, a couple of, one.

For example:

In picture A there are lots of leaves on the trees.

In picture B there are a few leaves on the tree.

2.     Making unusual connections and combinations (a Venn diagram)

Come up with the similarities and differences between you and anything you are interested in (any animal, princess, skateboard, tablet computer, etc.). The comparisons should be expressed in the form of a Venn diagram.

3.     Secret code

A) A very dangerous gang has stolen the Queen’s crown jewels in London. The police have intercepted an Internet message in secret code saying where the jewels are. The following grid will help you to identify the code:

B) Look at the internet message and write the message as fast as you can:

C) The police opened a white van in the car park but, instead of the jewels, they found another message. Work in pairs and in 5 minutes invent a new message saying where the jewels are now.
